Information from Jamie O'Brien Morry (updated 271207): Died in youth. She thought he was younger than Joe, who was the eldest of the three living brothers. But in fact he was born before Joe and proabably died at about the time he was born or shortly afterwards. She notes that there was a second son named William after the death of this one. That was her Uncle Bill or Willy. He lived to raise a family and was eventually killed on his bicycle by a speeder from Dublin.

According to the information obtained (for 5 Euro) from the North Tipperary Genealogy Centre website on 2711207 the sponsors were Terrence O'Brien and Mary Anne Fogarty. Terrence was his Uncle. Not sure what relationship of Mary Anne was to the family. Abt.1900 Grawn, Toomevara, Tipperary, Ireland Jamie Morry provided this information

There were three Morgan O'Briens having children in Toomevara all atthe same time. I am speculating that they were three first cousins, all first born sons, whose paternal grandfather was named Morgan. This one had a son named Wiiliam, same name as his brother. The reference to Bunacum gives with the location of the farm occupied by Morgan Jr. in Griffiths. The 2-6 was the fee paid 2 shillings and 6 pence.

There is some confusion about the name of his mother. On the birth record it is Anne. On her marriage record it is Catherine. Needs more research.

Winnifred Ann Stratton (nee O'Brien) - (June 02, 1927 - September 29, 2018) - Embraced in the loving presence of her family and her faith in God, Winnie passed peacefully away at her home in Calvert, on September 29, 2018, with her devoted daughter Bernie by her side. Predeceased by her loving husband Bill; son Stevie and daughter Ann Marie; parents Denis and Mary O'Brien; brothers and sisters Michael, Eugene, Hilda, Helen, Pauline, Collette, DeSales, Bernadette and Bridget. Leaving to mourn, with fond and loving memory, her children: Dinny (Mary), Eric (Francis), Mary (Pete), Cathy (Francie), Bernie (Otto), and Billy (Sue); 13 grandchildren: Damien, Neil, Janine, Blair, Brian, Bradley, Jason, Kim, Nicholas, Rocky, Steffi, Billy-Lynn and Sue-Ann; 20 great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly; and her two sisters Catherine Woodburn and Alice Kavanagh. Also sharing in our loss many family, friends and good neighbors. She was everyone's "Nanny Winnie" and dearly beloved by all who knew her. Resting at Fahey's Funeral Home, Fermeuse. Visitation Monday, October 1 from 2-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Calvert on Tuesday, October 2 at 11 am, followed by a reception in Calvert Town Hall. Christian burial to follow at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to the Gathering Place in her memory.
