He appears out of nowhere in the baptisms of his children starting with Mary in 1786. I do not know who his parents are at this time though he is possibly a part of the greater Winser/Winsor family of Denbury area. There is no record of a baptism of a boy named Thomas in the Denbury registers for the period around which he should have been born so it is equally possible that he is not of one of these families but came to Denbury from elsewhere.
311018:
All is revealed! I found their marriage in Torbryan where she is from. He is from Ipplepen. So in all liklihood he is not related, or at least not closely so, to the other Winsers/Winsors in Denbury at that time though indeed both Torbryan and Ipplepen are very close to Denbury (2 km or so separating all three places). William Winsor signed the marriage register in a shakey hand. I believe this was his father. At that time a William Windsor [sic] and his wife Susanna were having children baptised at Holy Trinity Church in Ipplepen. e.g. William on March 28, 1754; Susanna on December 9th 1754; THOMAS on January 15th 1758; Mary on January 6th 1761; Margaret on July 19th 1763; Henry on January 29th, 1767; John on May 19th 1769; Richard on March 30th 1773. Note that the name was ALWAYS spelled Windsor. Note that this was the only family of that name in the baptism register suggesting this was indeed the only family present in the parish of that name.
It is also interesting to note that there were possible two Morey families (a John and a Thomas both with a wife named Mary -- may have been an error and this was the same person).

I know of his existence and his abode from the baptism of his daughter Elizabeth and the burial of his wife Elizabeth but I do not know how or if he fits into the Winsor clan of Denbury since he is from West Ogwell, which is nearby, but all the others are from Denbury itself.

For reasons unknown, whilst he seemed to be living in Torbryan, he took his children to Denbury to have them baptised but did not give the name of their mother for the register.
