Western Star, November 2000:
GRANT, Mary Frances Corner Brook, NF Passed away, Saturday, November 11, 2000 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, MARY FRANCES GRANT at the age of 74. She will be sadly missed by her husband William; three sons: Douglas (Rosalind), Gordon (Karen), Dave; four grandchildren: Kimberly, Douglas, Christopher, Stephen; two sisters: Ruth Guzzwell (Walter), St. John's, Cynthia Murley (Roy), Corner Brook; two brothers: Robert LeMessurier (Emily), St. John's, Walter LeMessurier (Nellie), Corner Brook; brothers-in-law: Robert Grant (Anne), John Grant (Nina); sisters-in-law: Hazel Gabriel, Jean Bullen, Carrie Howard (Jim), and Victoria Badcock, St. John's, uncle Eric LeMessurier, BC. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 14th at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary's Anglican Church, Curling Street, Reverend Edward King officiating, followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, Monday from 2-4 & 7-9. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
NB: This obituary creates confusion on two issues: Victoria Badcock is mentioned as a sister-in-law. This would be Victoria Mary Frances LeMessurier, married to Donald Arthur Badcock presumably. This is not her sister-in-law but rather her half aunt! And Eric LeMessurier is not her uncle, he is her half uncle! The confusion stems from the fact that the parents of Mary Frances and her siblings were actually first cousins, once removed. But more importantly, Mary Frances' maternal grandfather, Francis LeMessurier married twice. Mary Frances descends from his first wife, Elizabeth Isabell Stephenson. Hissecond wife was Helena Morry and she was the mother of Victoria and Eric LeMessurier. All very confusing.

061207: The information on this person's birth was brought to my attention By Geoffrey Williams following a thorough scouring by him of the information found on the NGB website pertaining to Moreys and Morrys. I was not previously aware that Pricilla Maria Le Messurier had a twin. He must have died in infancy. I also did not have the dates of their birth/baptism before.
