Carey, Georgina Ann (nee Martin)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, wife, grandmother, and sister, Georgina Ann Carey on Tuesday, April 19,2016 following a lengthy illness. Georgina passed away at home surrounded by her loving and devoted family at the age of 61 years. Predeceased by her loving parents Leslie and Patricia, her sister Ann and brother David. Leaving to mourn her loving husband David, her two daughters Gina Lucas (Darcy) and Patti Carey (Robin) and her precious grandchildren Jaxon, Brooklyn and Mason who always brought a smile to her face. Also leaving to mourn her four sisters Patsy Dyke (Truman), Sheila Hapgood (Don), Donna, Jeanette March (Steve), her five brothers John (Loretta), Henry, Tony (Cheryl), Robert (Joy), Ronnie and a large circle of nieces and nephews ,cousins and friends. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the many health care professionals that held our hands through the past three years and to the many people who share in our grief. Cremation has taken place as Georgina wished. Funeral will be held at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 9:30 a .m. Donations in her memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Clinic.
