Kevin Reddigan provided this additional piece of information in an email on 05/10/01. It seems likely that these are one and the same people despite the Surname spelling differences between the Gravestone and the marriage record. If so, then Kevin's belief that this was a second marriage for both would explain why the mother was identified as Bridget Kelly by Enid O'Brien but Bridget Gamburgh on the marriage record.

General:

There is a gravestone in Ferryland Catholic Cemetary that reads: "Erected by Robert Powls in memory of his wife Bridget, died 21 December 1873; 64 yrs. Also her mother Bridget Morry, died 20 January 1872; 106 yrs." I have no idea to which Morry the mother was married unfortunately but it would seem unlikely that it was one of Matthew Morry the immigrant's sons judging by her date of birth, which would make her a good bit older than them. And we don't know of any of Matthew's brothers who also lived in Ferryland. It is a bit of a mystery at this time.

Her name is probably Morey, not Morry. It is also rumoured that they came from Nova Scotia

1978 - 2016
Bryan David Morry, formerly of Ottawa, died
in a tragic avalanche accident at age 37, near
his home in Celista, BC, on Sunday, March 13,
2016. Bryan is survived by his partner, Sasha
Pellow, Celista; his parents, Chris and
Katherine; two sisters, Nicola and partner
Greg Langille, and Prema: and his much
beloved niece, Oonagh, all of Ottawa. He is
also survived by several aunts, uncles, and
cousins (especially cousin Peter), and many
friends in both BC and Ottawa. His life was
brief but action packed and he lived it to the
full. Snowmobiling was his passion and
solace. We will all miss him dearly. Funeral
arrangements are being handled by
Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive,
