Nov 8. A lovely morning. Arose at 6 am, to catch a car for St. John's
to attend Howard's wedding tomorrow. Had a nice time. Went to the Legion
at night and met some men off a British submarine.
Nov 9. Went to Outer Cove to Howard' s wedding. 'Twas a lovely ceremony.
Howard and Bill who was his best man, looked so nice and 'twas nice to
see them there together. The bride, Mary, looked lovely, dressed in
white and also her sister who was Bridesmaid was dressed in blue. There
were almost a hundred guests and the reception was held at the Crystal
Palace where we sat down to a nice Turkey Breakfast and lots of liquid
refreshments. And after the speeches, etc. and the guests got down to
dancing, we had a real nice time and I had quite a few dances which I paid
up for later (what odds you're only young once). Came back to Phyl's
and went to bed at eight o'clock.

"History - Glenview's Finest
Howard & Mary Morry, well known sheep farmers, approached David & Stephanie and asked if they would be interested in taking over their scald cream business, which Mary, had been taking care of on their farm in Kilbride.
They had been making this cream for over 40 years, a delicious product which drew customers from all over the region. Both Howard & Mary had put tremendous work into this market and nearing retirement wished to see the business continue on. Stephanie then began making the scaldcream from her kitchen, but before long the increasing demand was more then they could keep up with.
In the Spring of 2006, with the help of Glenview Dairy Farm, their families farm business which has been active in the agricultural industry since the late 1800's, David & Stephanie started Glenview's Finesta small business based in Kilbride. Their products are prepared at the College of the North Atlantic campus in Carbonear.
The demand for their scald cream has taken off throughout the province and is growing every day. Glenview's Finest is also working on new products, which they hope to market in the near future."

Email from Uncle Howard on 31 March 2009: "RE THE LAST LOT OF PICTURES , WHILE LYING SLEEPLESS IN BED, I MULLED THINGS OVER IN MY MIND. HOWIE AND VI WERE MARRIED AHEAD OF ME BUT THEY ONLY HAD A BIT OF A HOUSE PARTY WITH NO RECEPTION AT A CLUB OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. WHEN MARY WAS SINGLE I WAS TOLD THAT SHE WAS CALLED THE PRIDE OF OUTER COVE ON ACCOUNT OF HER GOOD LOOKS.SHE HAD A FEW STEADIES BEFORE ME BUT WHEN I MET HER AT A DANCE SHE HAD NO BOY FRIEND AND WAS AVAILABLE FOR A DATE. WE WENT OUT TOGETHER FOR 3 AND A HALF YEARS BEFORE WE GOT MARRIED, I CAN SAFELY SAY THAT SHE NEVER CAUSED ANY HARD FEELINGS IN THE MORRY FAMILY AND THOSE WHO MET HER AND GOT TO KNOW HER HAD NOTHING BUT PRAISE FOR HER. WELL IT IS NOW 3 AM AND I MUST GO TO ROOST REGARDS HOWARD"
