Dad's Grandmother Mary Miller (ne Winser) lived in Denbury all her life. In fact his paternal side of the family are Denbury through and through and most are buried in their beautiful cemetary. I managed to visit there this summer and spent hours checking the grave stone.

Email from Enid O'Brien dated 21/11/01: "Annie Winsor was a granddgt of Matthew Symonds Winsor (1794-abt 1845) a native of Denbury, Devon, England, and Charlotte Taylor (d abt 1845), a native of East Teignmouth, Devon, who emigrated to St. John's in the early 1830s and a great granddgt of Peter Winsor (1755-1828) and Sarah "Winser" (1781-1864) who came to Aquaforte in 1815 and established a merchant business there in 1821. Annie's paternal grandparents drowned when her father was about 9 or 10 years old, and he went to live in Aquaforte with his first cousin, Capt Henry Winsor (1804-1850)."

I have tentatively linked these two Peter Winsers as father and son because the marriage of the son shows that his father was named Peter and this is the only Peter of an appropriate age that I have from the Denbury records who is not already shown as married. I suspect the marriage took place in a nearby village.
