24 September 1844 was the date given on Aunt Jean's LDS records but I trusted Helen Steinke's more complete and authenticated records more, which showed 1 July 1844 until I got a copy of the family bible in which the date is recorded as Sept. 21st 1844, seemingly settling the matter.Children: 1. Jessie Jennings Windsor 2. Anna Sarah Winsor 3. Jean Elizabeth Winsor 4. John James Windsor 5. Clara Isabelle Windsor 6. Anna Jennings Windsor 7. Peter Ford Windsor 8. Henry Charles Windsor 9. Sarah Payne Windsor 10. Mary Emily Windsor 11. Jacob Augustus Windsor 12. Jane Caroline Windsor 13. Mary Emma Eugenie Windsor
090703: Viewed the photocopy of the register at PANL. Date is definitely the 21st, but the month is missing (!) and could be either July or Sept. The names of the two witnesses are unclear but one seems to be John Winsor, spelled in that fashion, while the names of the husband and wife are both seemingly spelled Winser by the Minister but signed Winsor.
They were first cousins. This seems to have been a common practice in the Winsor family.

Notes
General:
I wrote the note below when I added this information from Aunt Jean's records. At the time I thought there was an error in Aunt Jean's records, that surely Anna Jennings could not be a Winsor by birth as well as by marriage. It turns out she is! This has now been confirmed by Helen Steinke, a direct descendent of the Winsors. Thus I am correcting the records today to show her as Anna Jennings Winsor, married to Peter Winsor (Aunt Jean's written record had him as John Winsor, but the LDS file agrees with Helen that Peter was her husband.
"On Aunt Jean's LDS records her name shows up as Anna Jennings Winsor. Probably a mistake with her married name included but this is very curious in addition to the similar mix-up with Dan Henry Winsor and wife Caroline Winsor. Also, in this case, Anna's place and date of birth are uncertain making it likely she was not a Winsor by birth."

Chris I am extremely impressed - you did a wonderful job. I am connected through the WINSOR clan - my mother's parents were JACOB WINSOR and SUSAN HALL. from Aquaforte.
I had some Morry info, but thanks to you, I have filled many of the holes. However, I found two errors that I believe you should correct.
1. Generation 6 - Clara Isabelle Winsor - you have her parents JOHN WINSOR and ANNA JENNINGS. Her father was PETER WINSOR (later became WINDSOR - 1891). NOT John Winsor. and her mother was ANNA JENNINGS WINSOR. Anna was a Winsor, not a Jennings. Jennings is her middle name, daughter of Jacob Winsor and Anna Jennings.
2. Also Generation 6 - THOMAS GRAHAM MORRY, son of Thomas Graham Morry - you have his second wife the same person as his father's 2nd wife. CLARA ISABELLE WINSOR, and CLARA ISABELLE McCOUBRY whatever, are one and the same person. Clara Isabelle was married 3 times. 1st husband: William Sweetland Morry - lost at sea. 2nd husband: McCoubrey, from whom she had a son, Alex McCoubry. 3rd marriage Thomas Graham Morry. They had been childhood sweethearts, and she was a bridesmaid for Chatherine White, Thomas's 1st marriage. They were in their 80's when they married.
I hope you don't mind my correcting you.
Helen Steinke

030816:
On November 30, 1966, Nimshi Crewe transcribed this marriage record for Capt. Thomas H. Goodyear, 32 Long Pond Rd., St. John's, whose wife, Jessie Windsor, was a descendant. This is what he recorded from the Patriot 11 March 1854:
"Married. On Saturday evening (15th ulto) by the Rev. K. Walsh, Mr. William Morrisey to Ann Louisa, youngest daughter of Peter Winser, Esq. M (ember) G (eneral) A (ssembly).
Nimshi was always quite meticulous about the things he transcribed and I suspect the above is an accurate reflection of what appeared in the newspaper, though the newspaper reporter may have erred. Therefore I think on balance that she did go by the name Ann and not Anna.

Chris,
I am going to start answering your questions or queries, in email dated Aug. 14, 2000, 9:42 pm
I will do #8 in this email, because it want to tell you a story alongwith why I have my records the way they are: ANNA LOUISE / LOUISA WINSOR (Actually could be Winser at this point and time. Some. I have sources both ways. I don't really know when they changed the er to or. Anyhow - here goes .........
Regarding the dates, I will get back to later with my sources,
Her Name: You can call her Ann if you wish. I have only seen it as Anna .......... Actually her name is ANITA LOUISA - also known as NANCY -
Gert Crosbies Collection of Birth's, Deaths and marriages in Newfoundland Newspapers I Quote: MORRISEY, WILLIAM married ANNA LOUISA WINSER, daughter of PETER WINSER, M.H.A.M. on 25th by Rev. Walsh. Published on March 6, 1854 In the Newfoundlander
The first child of Anna and William is PETER STEPHEN MORRISEY - Baptized Catholic Cathedral Bazilica, St. John's 5 Nov. 1827 - Source: Catholic Cathedral Bazilica Records, St. John's. Baptized by Priest John Vereken. Godparents, Matthew Condon and Mary Walsh.
The story goes that she and her father had an argument and Peter and Nancy signed a paper that she would never become a Catholic and on the day of her conversion, Nancy reminded her father of this, and told the priest of her promise. They accepted her anyhow. Nancy and her father had many disagreements - the final one came when he locked her out one night when she came in after 10:00. She spent the night in the hayloft, and soon after she ran off with an Irish Tailor named Morrisey.
What more can I say
The rest later
Helen

Because he was privately baptised on 16 Sept, and then received into the church on the 28th of the same month, it is likely his birth was a difficult one and it was thought that he might die before being taken to the church for baptism.
